The Recovery Act of 2009 established CMS programs under Medicare and Medicaid to provide incentive payments for the "meaningful use" of certified EHR technology. These EHR incentive programs will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals as they demonstrate adoption, implementation, upgrading or meaningful use of certified EHR technology.

We work with medical practices to install, deploy and monitor electronic healthcare record (EHR) and electronic medical healthcare (EMR) programs. Under the new government mandates, medical practices need to adopt electronic reporting technology to sustain their practice. Right now the initiative is voluntary with government incentives through 2014 to assist practices to become compliant. We can assess a current practice and help them meet the Meaningful Use criteria and insure that they qualify for the incentives.

As part of our project scope, we incorporate the Six Sigma and lean techniques. These allow us to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and improve the current level of patient service. Between these savings and the government incentives, return on investment (ROI) is quite impressive and quickly justifies the investment and efforts.

Another major factor impacting the medical practices is HIPPA. Meeting the HIPPA requirements has become just as critical. We have resources that can train and certify your staff, office managers, physicians and technology personnel in this area.
